Well. Beyond.

A ripple effect
of support

Premera goes well beyond to support the health of historically underserved communities in Washington and Alaska so everyone can access quality care that fits their needs. By leveraging a one-time 2018 tax refund, we’ve invested more than $100 million into communities across Washington and Alaska.

Providing funding is just the beginning. Our approach involves identifying areas where investments will lead to a ripple effect of support and improve lives throughout the community for years to come.

By working with and through our partners, we can create greater impact and sustainable solutions that help people overcome barriers to care.

Investing in change for our communities

Premera Blue Cross CEO Jeffrey Roe details the drive behind Well. Beyond. and the long-term impact these investments will have across Washington and Alaska communities.

Care where it’s needed most

Through more than 400 grants, Premera aimed to improve overall health and accelerate work already underway that addresses behavioral health and its intersection with homelessness, health equity, and the health of rural and remote communities.

Going the distance to effect change

Our aim is to go well beyond in every element of these investments. Working with partners, our goal is to remove barriers to care and address health disparities so everyone in the community can live healthier lives.
